Townsend, Tennessee - Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Welcome to the Fishing Report.  Broken clouds hang above Tuckelechee Cove this morning. It is refreshingly cool. Warmer weather and the return of afternoon thunderstorms are forecast for the rest of the week. We could use some rain, but preferably a long all day soaking rain and not the heavy thunderstorm down pours.

No word about the exploits of the S.S. Begley. Hopefully they are having a good time and enjoying some time off.

Fishing in the Smokies has been good over the last several days. Water levels feel low but are pretty close to normal. Light colored and yellow dry flies have been working well especially in the evenings.
Keep in mind that Elkmont is closed to traffic in the evenings after 5pm.

Little River Outfitters will be hosting a book signing with Ron Ellis on Saturday June 26, from 1 to 3pm. He will be signing copies of the new book "In That Sweet Country, Uncollected Writings of Harry Middleton". I figured 1-3 was a good time...it gives the anglers who venture out early in the day enough time to fish then come in for lunch and to meet Ron and for the anglers who are coming to Townsend to fish the evening hatch to stop in then head to the streams.

Well this report is pleanty late now. It has been a busy morning here at the Shop.

Have a great day and week.  Thank you for being here with us.
