Townsend, Tennessee
December 27, 2009
Welcome to the Fishing Report. It is sunny and clear in Townsend, Tennessee this morning. The temperature was 28 degrees when I left the house this morning. I saw Caleb’s truck parked in front of the store when I pulled in. He and probably Joe are up there giving the big browns a hard time.
My guess is the water temperature in town is around 40 degrees. I took the temperature this morning with another thermometer I found last night and I decided it is incorrect. I’m sick and didn’t feel like making the trip back down to the river with my old thermometer.
There is a lot of water in the rivers, the flow is strong and the water is cold. So, be careful. Fish large nymphs or streamers. Get them down.
My digestive system and I had the worst night together since 1951, the year I was born. Basically, I feel like crap today. I’m at work though. I think it was the sour cream. So, that’s about it for the Fishing Report today. Sorry, I’m just not up to it.
Have a great day and thank you for being here with us.
