Quiet day on the Clinch

I was able to get up to the Clinch today for a couple of hours. It was a great day on the river. It was a beautiful day and brought many fish to hand. I was the only one fishing below the weir so I was able to wander. I suppose that will not happen again. My only problem was that I could not catch the largest two trout that I have ever seen in real life. I do believe that I have a lot of learning to do as far as being able to catch a trout of that size once I spot it. They looked like footballs sitting on the bottom of the river. I eventually scared them. Any suggestions as to what to do next time.

Probably sitting there waiting for a streamer, a minnow, or a smaller trout to come lollygagging along, or the generators to cut on. Of course the biggest trout I have ever seen caught was a 28" about 12# in Arkansas caught on a #16 sowbug right before my eyes....so really nobody knows the majic formula...just keep trying!
