I came across this cool license plate for all you guys on the NC side of the park. A lot of you guys may have seen this, but I just found out myself. It says that there has to be at least three hundred people sign up before they will release it in Raleigh, so get on it guys. I will definitely be getting one for both of my cars I drive.

Boy, I've been jealous this whole time about the TN plates.

Thanks for pointing this one out...I wouldn't have known about it unless you posted it. Thanks! Going to print out and mail my app now!

WNCFLY, is that a Southern Appalachian Elk on your avatar? Those look like our mountains.

Thanks for posting the link and bringing this up, wncfly. I'm definitely on board and hopefully we can spread the word and get the 300 applications needed.

Yeah, I took that picture while fishing the oconaluftee river just inside the park. I was in the river and he walked up directly behind me. There is a post on here from earlier on about elk. The thread is titled WNCFLY.

Here is a larger pick of the elk.

I really like this license plate as well. I figured if Tennessee had it, then North Carolina had to get it. Surely they can come up with three hundred requests. I have two myself and one of friends is doing one as well. Keep the word out there...

Wanna bump this one up so we can get the three hundred signatures we need. Any of you NC guys should take a look. Thanks, Josh

I saw a male and female in a field around the Oconaluftee this past Saturday.

That is the same area I saw the Elk. Maybe he is the same one. I think its cool that they are migrating within the park. Maybe one day They will cross into Tenn!
