Rod building info

I would like to find out the best book/dvd for a beginner into rod building. This info would be much appreciated. I would take the LRO class but money is tight at this time.

There are probably lots of good books out there, but I used both of these online tutorials to build my first rod.

It's good. I would check the local library and see if they have it or can get it for you.

If it is Bamboo rod construction, I would recommend a DVD by Wayne Catanach. No frills, just the facts from start to finish. You can usually find them on ebay.
