Anyone catch any yet?

With the water they're running, i'd say the browns walleye & striper are catching them:eek:
Has the stocking been confirmed?

The Tennessean today said 4800 were stocked Thursday. I'm wondering what they'll look like -- any color, or that kind of flat gray like the stocked ones in NC.

Hopefully, they'll look like the ones below Lil Red, pretty colorful. We probably won't know til around June with more rain predicted:eek:

I think the article mentioned that the plan is for about 20K more to be stocked in coming weeks. Hopefully some of 'em will stay away from the big browns long enough to get a look at 'em. Do you suppose we should start tying Parmachene Belles (sp?)?

It ain't the big browns so much as the big stripers, which are stocked in the Cumberland. A TWRA guy told me that he's seen a school of stripers decimate rainbows immediately after they were stocked off a bridge on the Caney. A 30 pound striper needs to eat a LOT of soft-rayed fish, and nothing is quite so dumb and tasty as a freshly stocked trout.
