What magazines do you guys/gals suscribe to for fly-tying?
I know there are alot of different mags out there, but does anyone recommend a certain one. I don't want one that has alot of the artistic flies that I wont be able to tie.
Any suggestions would be great.

Flyfishjeep, Borders in Knoxville carries an English Magazine 'Fly Fishing and Fly Tying'. It's overpriced, but offers some different flies and classic ideas on fishing. I have back issues that I still refer to. I used to look at 'Fly Tyer' and 'Fly Fishing and Tyer Journal'. I'm no artist when it comes to tying flies. I'm just a hack that ties something that resembles a winged insect or trout pellets. Speaking of flies, do you have the 'silver bullet' pattern for the Clinch sulfur hatch? Sure Knots, Monktrout

IMO Fly Tyer is the best tying magazine hands down. Good photos and articles by some of the best in the fly tying industry. There is so much information online now days that I fear the day of the fly fishing magazine in print form is coming to an end.

Monk- I have not heard of the silver bullet that you speak of. If you have a recipe for it you can email me at email@example.com.
I tied up a few of these guys. I found them while looking for a small mouth bass pattern.
They are probably similar to something else, but they seem like they will ride nice in the water. Hopefully I will get a chance to use them on the Holston this week.
Let me know about any other mags that you guys can think of.

I like Fly Tyer the best, but I have a new magazine and website that I have enjoyed. They have only come out with one issue but they send me newsletters every month or so. www.hatchesmagazine.com (http://www.hatchesmagazine.com)
