For mother's day I found myself in the GSMNP walking some trails with my wife and daughter. If I would have brought my fly rod it could've been father's day.

We were walking the Sugarland's trail and I happened to notice that the West Prong appeared to have some nice fishable water just past the old chimneys of an old house.

How is the fishing in this area?

It's pretty good until about late this month, then the water temp is on the high side in my opinion. Pineman caught one of the stockers from G-burg a couple of weeks ago, in that area. The stockers move up from town. Head upstream and you would have some real nice rock hopping experience.
