Two of us fished around the jail on Saturday. Fishing was steady most of the day. Main hatch came off mid afternoon but was light. I had a pretty good day with good numbers and there was good size as well. At one point we counted 14 people in sight but later in the evening most people were gone. Even with that many people around, there is no excuse for walking within casting distance of someone and fishing the water you are watching for risers. Oh well. We had an excellent day and will float the river next time.

I know what you mean, but my worst experiences with that are at the weir dam.
Glad you had a good day, I am going to try and hit it up again on Friday if I can get this proposal out the door early. Made it over there 3 days last week, and had good results each trip. Hopefully the sulfur hatch will stay strong for another couple weeks.

I got out on the Clinch Saturday also with a couple of my buddies.
We had been working around the house all day and had the opportunity to take a short break. We grabbed our spinning gear and headed out to Miller Island and fished from 3pm till about 6 or so. We were primarily fishing with salmon eggs. I brought in 7 nice bows. My two buddies only brought 3 to the net, but they were of nice size also.

Fished near the jail Sunday afternoon, started around 3:00 with Tung. BHPT Dropper with little success. Sulfer hatch kicked up around 4:00 so switched over to dry pattern. Caught several nice Bows and had 2 LDR's on a big Brown and an even bigger Rainbow. Had to head home just before the storm hit.
A perfectly beautiful day on the river.
I'll be back in a couple of weeks to set things straight with the two escapees.
