I just got back from my latest outing so I figured I'd share my trip. The wife and I camped at fontana village campground sun-thurs. Sunday was spent setting up camp and waterproofing our area. It rained off and on Sunday but camp was set up and we were on our way. Monday we buzzed our 25hp boat to Hazel Creek. I fished around 4 to 5 hours and brought around 15 to 20 fish to hand. Most were nice sized ( 7 to 11 inch ) rainbows and the scenery was beautiful. Tuesday storms were approaching and we didn't want to chance going through a storm on Lake Fontana so we left the boat at camp and headed to Twentymile Creek. I fished 2 to 3 hours and caught about the same amount of fish as on Hazel but they were smaller. There were some keepers in the mix and we headed back to camp wearing big smiles. It stormed pretty hard Tuesday evening and I was glad I wasn't on the Lake. Wednsday was a new day and it was back to Hazel. The fishing was a little slower but still managed 10 to 12 fish and had a blast. Caught a nice brown ( 12 or 13 inch ) and soaked up the scenery. I had planned on staying another night and hitting Eagle but we were both ready for beds, baths, and other things we had been without so we came back Thursday. Here are some pics of a fun trip for us.
