Fished road prong yesterday and caught lots of nice ones. A couple rainbows, but mostly brookies. Missed about a thousand, i think i was using too long of a leader. Those little things are so fast they stay about 2 steps ahead of me.

EHC,
In fishing RP, I found that even when I hooked the specs, many reacted so ferociously (for such a little fish) that they shook off before I could get them up. These guys do not like getting hooked and they'll fight you all the way. I pulled in about half of what I actually got a hook into.

Redworm, maybe you should try a texas rigged pumpkin worm. I bet you'll miss a lot less..

And I thought you were a UT Fisheries Biologist and a "guide"... I bet you had corn, dough balls and night crawlers in your socks Rusty

Now what? Can we stock at anytime?

You could go ahead and stock it now, but fall or early spring is recommended. Also, Catfish are normally stocked at 150 fish per surface acre, or ~300 if you feed them. They wont reproduce in ponds unless you put special spawning structures in there, like hollow logs or wooden boxes. Check out this link http://www.state.tn.us/twra/fish/pond/pondmang.html
