Hey Byron...About the I-pod????

Read today's fishing report, and got to thinking about your mention of bringing the ol I-pod along...Do you have a watertight/proof case? If so can you give some recommendadtions?

For some reason, having ANY electronic device on me while fishing virtually guarantees that I'll step in a deep hole, turn over the 'yak, fall off the boat, get caught in a monsoon, fall off the dock, or sweat prodigiuosly.
Got a drawer full of dead cell phones to prove it.

On the other hand fly fishing with a soundtrack sounds nice. Any advice would help...I'm thinking Paganini or maybe Vivaldi...then of course there is always Nine Inch nails:eek:

I use pelican boxes for everything. I usually have a lot of camera equipment on a boat with me. I don't know if they make anything specific for an IPod but I'll check their website and you can too. I'm going to buy a couple of the Fishpond Whitewater waterproof bags. I think they are around $20. They will keep food, first aid kits and other stuff dry down in the hatch.

I use the 1010 case for my nano on hiking trips. I just strap it to my backpack and forget about it. I've hiked in plenty of showers with it and had no problems. I can't say about dropping it in a river what might happen. My only complaint is that its kind of bulky but well worth the piece of mind it provides.
