Jakes Creek:
I tried a little something different today and headed to the elkmont area of the park. Because there were so many other people fishing I decided to do some small creek fishing and headed up Jakes Creek. I had an awesome day. I never even saw another angler. I caught most of the fish on a size 16 yellow stimulator and the first few on a gray sized 18 parachute adams. I ended up with 8 rainbows and 2 browns. As is the case with most places in the park there was a big stonefly hatch this evening so I think thats why I did so well on the stimulator.
West Prong "Little River":
Today I left work around 4:00 or so and headed to west prong. I caught around 12 rainbows most of them coming on a size 16 never sink caddis with a yellow body. The stonefly hatch wasn't as impressive as what it has been in the past but I still managed to do well.Today I left work around 4:00 or so and headed to west prong.
