I recently purchased a Winston WT 3pc. 4 wt. and wonder if a Battenkill BBS1 would be a good balanced fit for it. I will use the rod mostly on mountain and other small stream waters. Thanks in advance for any info.

I have on a 3wt Sage. It is a good match and hard to beat for the price.
Probably similar result on a 4wt.

I have a BBS 1 that use on my 2-weight, but in my opinion it's pretty small for a 4-weight. And I like small, but the 1 is _really_ small. I have a BBSII with a 4-weight line, that I think is perfect. Love the BBS reels.

I have an Elkhorn T-1 on my Sage VT2 3 wt. and I love the reel. The drag is superb and I have landed Carp on this set-up. I liked it so much, I bought the T-2 for my 6 wt. The BBs is a great reel, but for $50-60 more, you can get a jewel.
