My daughter wanted to share her first fly that she tied by herself. It has a orange body with a dyed starling feather fro the twist hackel. Tyed on a #8 hook. The pic is not the best but we tryed. Pretty good for a 9 year old...

FMB, Let her fish it for bream if you have a chance. Catching one on your own fly even at that age is addictive. My daughter is ten and loves to tie wooly buggers for me!

I plan on taking her to the Cosby park one day next week or to Gatlinburg to try her fly. She has a hard time with making the finish knot. She is getting the hang of it.

That's awsome fly man bill, i know if were to tie my own flies and catch somethin i would be as excited as when i caugt my first fish. The pic's not too bad, it looks good. Good fishin to ya! :biggrin:

I would like to think every body for the support about my fly. I wish the picture would have been better. I will keep tring to get better at fly tying. It is like any thing else the more you practice the better you will become.
