Recently on the weekends I have been taking my son fishing at a buddies house on Ft. Loudon. There house in on a peninsula in a bay with great structure all around. I seem to have trouble lately getting strikes.
There is all kinds of bait fish in the bay around 5:30pm and on. I threw a chartreuse (sp) popper, and a T-man's special with no luck.
The only thing that showed were a few small bream that couldn't open their mouth big enough.
Is the heat putting the fish really deep? If so how are you guys fishing them on a fly?
If they aren't deep, what suggestions would you have my approach?
Thanks for the help!
Let me know if you need more details
