Lost Orvis spool

After breaking down my rod and reel on Greenbriar we bushwacked back down the bank up from the creek to the Ramsey Cascade parking area. When I got to my car I realized the spool on my titanium Orvis BBS reel (along with the backing and fly line) had popped off. Lost it somewhere along the first 1-1.5 miles of the creek upstream from the trailhead along the left side of the river (when facing upstream). I guess the release mechanism got caught on a branch. I doubt it will ever be found, but thought I'd give it a post. Thanks!

We'll be up there weekend after next; if we fish that area, we'll keep our eyes peeled.

I carry a spare spool in my vest - I use it for nymphs, since I have a furled leader on my "main" spool, and, with the exception of highsticking on very small streams, it isn't very well suited for subsurface flies.
