View Full Version : SoHo Rainbow

I just got a new camera and I am trying to learn how to post pictures
so, here goes...http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr146/MtnMike-photos/IMGP0056.jpg[/IMG]

This is all new to me, so there was no effort made to edit the picture. Just a quick shot of a rainbow I caught while fishing the SoHo last friday. I will have to work on this some more. I'm not so concerned with the quality of the picture at this point, but let me know if it is too small or large for most screens.

This is all new to me so I thought I would try to post the picture again after cropping and resizing. So, here we go again...

I hope that looks a little better. I have a lot to learn.

I think we have to learn from you Mike. That Bow looks like he just ate a rabbit that fell in the river:rolleyes: . Awesome fish! Thanks for the post, I may have to head over there one more time, didn't have much luck during my one trip there in the spring.

Both pictures are fine for me as well... A good message board size is usually 640x480, I'd say max being 800x600.

Pretty rainbow though. He's what, 15-16"?

I appreciate all the comments guys. I'd say the bow was a solid 15-17". I didn't meaure him but he was probably the best of several good fish that day. I have always enjoyed the photos that so many people post along side their fishing reports and I have reallly wanted to do the same thing. I hate computers (I'd much rather be trying to figure out how to get that nice fish to eat) and I am really out of my element in this picture posting stuff. I have managed to get a few pics on my computer. I pulled that one out and starting working with photo bucket, which so far is even more confusing than putting the pictures on my computer. By the time I get back to try again, I may have forgotten how I did it. I hope to mess with it a little more and finally get comfortable enough with the whole process to post pics a little more often. I haven't even thought about editing the pictures yet, I'll get to that later. As soon as I have some more time I will post some more pics.
Again, thanks for the comments.

Download Picasa from Google. It'll let you do some nice, simple photo editing before you upload to Photobucket... enhancing colors, resizing, cropping, etc.

Maybe it isn't the pics that are too big. You just need to catch smaller fish! That is a nice bow. Look at those colors. hey fight like dogs don't they?
