Hey everybody! Just wanted to see what everyone would use if they could only choose just ONE fly to use, and why you would pick that one. Looking foward to hearing what yall would do. Post a pic if you'd like.
Thanks.

GSMNP - wooly bugger
Tailwater - wooly bugger
Anywhere else - wooly bugger

That is if I had to choose only one. Might not catch a ton of fish, but you sure can put the big meat on the table.

smokies- BHPT

anywhere else- beadhead black with rubber legs wooly bugger no doubt

The wooly will catch anything anywhere.

If the objective was to catch fish every time, BHPT. On the other hand, I would hate to think of never fishing a dry. I think I would go with a Parachute Adams and realize that there would be some "dry" days. Catching fish is fun - catching fish on a dry is a thrill.

I gotta agree witht the BHPT. Either that or a wet hackle, I do enjoy swinging a wet-fly

Got to stick to dry fly fishing and in the park that would be a yellow EHC

Black size 20 beadhead zebra midge. Cheap and easy to tie but irresistible to trout everywhere.

My favorite trout fly for TN/NC would have to be the Sheepfly. This thing's a trout magnet. It's basically an Adam's wet fly, but the tail is tweaked a bit...instead of grizzly and brown its just simply brown. Awesome fly.

A Black rubber legged wooly bugger with lots of krystal flash. Fish will hit it out of instinct.
