Stopped by Happy Hollow, but had the generation schedule wrong and had to move on to the dam. Caught two there and got one to hand. Had several strikes that I missed. I got one to take my dry (a BWO that I tied) and Big Popper had a strike on the goofy red "instigator" dry fly that I tied, but he wasn't able to get anything to hand. We then went to Betty's Island around 1:30 and the water was still high, so we fished a bit and went home. The two that I caught were on a black zebra midge that I tied dropped off of the BWO...I think it was a size 18.

Was on the Caney today with a couple of friends. Between us we caught a few fish, but nothing came easy. Brooks were beautiful. Used a dry/wet wooolly with a black zebra midge. Great day to be on the water at Happy Hollow. Monk

Did I bump into yall at about 2:00 or 3:00? I was wearing a yellow shirt, a tan WVU ballcap, and Oakleys. A bunch of guys got on the water as I was leaving.

WGG, I think I remember seeing you.You were leaving the parking lot as we were pulling in. We were in a silver truck. I was the short guy. Did you go up or down stream? We went up from the ramp and wailed away for three hours. Several bites only four fish between us. Lots of color on the brooks and they are beefing up. Hope to see you again. Monk

I started upstream, but I found to cross the water was still too deep. So I fished downstream until the water started to bend out of sight. I picked up a few, but my hunger got the best of me. There was a group of military guys/girl from the Smyrna Airbase taking pictures, I wonder if they got any shots of me  I always knew Happy Hollow fished better than under the dam but I didn't know it was that noticable. Toyota truck? I vaguely remember.
