The casino is on Rt. 19. You will need to come back into Cherokee to 441 going towards Newfound Gap and Gatlinburg or use the Big Cove Road. The trophy section begins at the fork of the Oconaluftee and Ravens Fork on the Ravens Fork side going towards Mingo Falls. Just remember to buy your special permit for the trophy section.

How far is it from the heritage center that is on the right if you are leaveing right before you enter the park? Will the trophy section have signs marking it?

You will need to get on big cove road before you enter the park. Turn onto Big Cove road via the detour across from the old Cherokee Fun Park. There should be signs marking the detour, the bridge onto Big Cove just before the park line is closed.

Take a left from the hotel (if it is across the street from the casino) until you reach the cheap convenient store with a kfc attached to it. They will get your license for you and give you directions to the trophy section. Catch a big one, Lee

Hey speckleman 5, do you know a man named Bill Owen. He lives in Waynesville and fly fishes. He is also a good friend of mine.

Make sure to take some #18 soft hackles and smaller nymphs with ya. We caught up on the smaller stuff last time. Split Case BWOs, Soft Hackles, Micro Mayflies, and streamers in the evenings...esp yellow/orange. ;-)
