Fished Friday and today and finally figured out where the fish are at. 95% of my fish are coming on 7x fluoro (which I generally never fish) so you've got to go small... Best fish today came on a #28 stripper midge... Fridays best fish was on a zebra midge. Fish are glued to the bottom on the shallower stretches but feeding well in deeper water.
Here's a couple of shots from today, both of the same fish. First shows the tiny #28 fly... This was one of the more colorful browns I've caught in awhile...

Nvr2l8, One of these days, you need to skip fishing in the mountains and come try the Caney...

Platuea Angler, I can not decide if you are a better fisherman than a photographer or vise versa. I loved that 1st photo. Good looking catches. I have to figure out your system cause it never fails to work.

Nicely done David. Love the shot with the fly in the corner of the mouth.

Hey Travis, let me know when you are ready to come fish. Things should be good for the next few weeks at least...

I'd love to try the Caney some time. Know anybody who could show me the ropes there?

I'd be glad to show you the river anytime you want just so long as I'm free...unfortunately, as you've probably picked up from some of the other threads, the river isn't the same as it was a few months ago but still plenty of quality fish that are eager to eat flies... Shoot me an email if you're interested in coming over sometime and we'll try to set something up...
