I recently heard that the Park has moved the old BC site #21 off of Sugarland Mountain down to the vicinity of the Huskey Gap Bridge....approximately1/4 mile up stream from the bridge. Has anyone paid a visit to this new location.....can only imagine that this is going to add some pressure to that section of the river between the bridge and the forks of the river.....before this the closest BC site was #24 which is a 4+ mile hike....guess only time will tell....maybe this will take some pressure off of #24 and the waters above it.

that is one of several back country changes....please contact the back country office at sugarlands for dates of the changes and a new map will be out this summer reflecting those changes

I did not know that. I look forward to checking out the new trail map.
That would be a great place for a site to be. I sure hope it is not close to the road though.

Sam, as always thanks for the info.

- Any idea of when the updated .pdf maps will available on the Park's website?
- Will #26 be on LR or LP?
- There is an abandoned campsite on upper Deep Creek (near Sahlee Creek). Was it ever official?
- If a train leaves Boston traveling at......nevermind......
