from that post I do not know whether to say I am sorry or congradulations. Remember a good woman who puts up with fishing is hard to find.

My good wife has been tagged by LRO as an enabler. But even she has her limits.

I married the woman that taught me how to fly fish for trout. Best of both worlds.

After all the stress of my job over the last couple months with no let-up in sight, I told my wife last night that I was going to quit and become a fishing bum.
I got the distinct impression I would be a newly single fishing bum...

on a more serious note, there is a book, Last Child in the Woods, that addresses the lack of participation by kids.....nature deficit disorder

To continue Sam's more serious note, Byron has touched on this topic before and I believe it is something we should take to heart.
As a late New Year's resolution, I would like to challenge all you folks to take a pledge to introduce someone (or ones) new to fly fishing this year. Share your passion with someone else - if it caught us (some of us later in life), it can catch others as well.
Instead of worrying about it, let's do something about it.
