Mr. "Drowned Stone" from page 35 of FR&R Magazine's current edition (I used a different thread because I wanted to and used a different dubbing because I had to):

I have the same little tying bench... where'd you get yours??

I hate to admit it, but I got it at one of the big chain stores. I should have ordered it from a fly shop. I am starting to get good at remembering to do that. I try and spread the money around now. I am starting to order from LRO (FREE SHIPPING!) and I go to a couple of local shops on occasion here in Nashville. I try and skip the chains now.

yeah- I got mine about 8 years ago at Cabela's in Mitchell, South Dakota... fly fishing Mecca of the great plains:p. Hasn't failed me yet, though, and it packs up quite well, even works while in the car on those long trips.

I have a small house, so it's perfect for using on my coffee table while watching TV. When we add on, my wife said I could have a fly tying desk in our family room. I don't know what she's going to want in return.

if she's like my wife, it'll be dogs. 5 and counting...

By the way, I did catch your GNR reference. You're not promoting drug use on a public board, are you?? :p Is your drowned stone fished subsurface? Deep? Shallow?

Man, I forgot what that song was about! Eek. Yeah, we have two dogs and she would love another. I think it's meant to fish just below the surface. No weight to it, so it won't go deep. It looks like a cock roach to me! I can't wait to give it a shot though.
