I will be at the Park Easter Sunday. Does anyone know if there will be Sunrise Service in Cades Cove at one of the churches? I couldn't think of a better place to spend Easter Sunday!!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance!

Don't know if there are sunrise services planned or not. My suggestion would be to call Park Information at (865) 436-1200 and see if they can tell you. If you don't have any luck there, email me at email@example.com and I'll see if I can run down the info for you.
I'm with you, bud; not a better place to celebrate Easter.

Wish I knew the answer for you. Certainly a great idea though. Hope you enjoy your visit.

That is an awesome idea. Check with the park information as suggested. Lee0070 yes this is a flyfishing forum but it is also a forum to help each other on. The man did not say he would not celebrate with a few cast afterwards. Good question and it has definately sparked some ideas.

...had an in house Chaplain :O).
Seriously there are a number of us preacher types that read and post on the board, if any of us were in the area I would guess something could be arranged. Wish I could be there, I'd love to celebrate Easter with service in the park and then spending the afternoon wetting a line.

you will need a very tough to get permit.....services cause loss of park usage by others and are generally very difficult to obtain permits. you could rent a pavillion for a nominal fee and hold the service i believe

Not exactly the Park, but years ago Gatlinburg had an outdoor service in a parking lot down at the bottom of the hill on the main drag. Don't know if they still have it or not.

Wow...that would be a nice service to attend. I'll have to settle for church down here, then we'll immediately hop in the car and drive up to the mountains for a few days...I can't wait.

I attended a sunrise service years ago at Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church in Townsend. Don't know if they still have them or not.

The Tuckaleechee United Methodist church holds a sunrise service still. It may not be the park, but the view of Rich and Scott mountains is a beautiful site for the service.

Our church, The Sycamore Tree (I am the Pastor) is holding a Sunrise Service at Maryville Intermediate School parking lot at 7:00 a.m. Beautiful view of the Smokies! See you there!
