Good Morning,

I am looking for recommendations for midge larve patterns both size and color to be used in the GSMNP on the Townsend side of the park.

Thanks for any suggestions

Tom

Try some small Zebra midges. Also stop by LRO and get some suggestions from Daniel. Good luck. Post some pics of your catches. I wish I could get up there right now.

Zebra midges are good as suggested...I like 'em with black thread and copper wire for the park, but I'm sure lots of other colors work fine also...

I tied some up with a little splash of blue in them last year and those seemed to really work well. Not sure if it was anything to really write home about but on several trips they seemed to outfish the black and white zebra midge.
