What do you coat your turkey feather with?

Someone told me to use lacquer to coat it with, is that correct? I have also read where you should coat it with Clear Fixative (Krylon spray can).

What do you use or should I use nothing at all when tying flies

You can use that, but I read in a magazine that clear finger nail polish works. My mom gets mad....but I use hers and it works just as well as any other method from my experience

I use the Krylon spray on a whole tail feather and will use Dave's Flexament if I am only using a section.
