Just a qualifier - the frame doesn't come with the plate; that's from the end of year fund raiser.

Pretty, huh?

Suweeeeeeet! Opened my notice today at 4:22 and seriously thought about breaking the law to get to the courthouse by 4:30. Guess I'll wait a whole 'nother day. They look great.

Ben, you'll get a letter in the mail telling your plate is available. I just received my letter today.

I hadn't even gotten my letter yet when I got my plate. I was at the courthouse getting a registration renewal on my wife's car and asked them if they had gotten the new TU plates. They gave me mine without the letter (it came later this morning in the mail).

I picked ours up today. Paula got #35. Mine was 240 something. I paid for them at the same time in the first week it was announced. I guess the inmates at the prison where these things are made got mixed up.

Picked up mine today, after waiting for it to get to my correct county clerk's office. The town I live in is right on the county line, and the state seems unable to keep it straight.

Got mine yesterday. I am in the 300's. I wonder who got 1,000?

I just hope Dick Davis got 0001. He really deserves kudos for his tireless efforts on behalf of this project! Thanks, Dick! I love my new plate!

Paula,

I second that motion. Hey, were did he get that LRO plate cover? I want one of those!

I think Phil Bredson our Governor got 0001. It was reserved for him.

Don, I bet Steve got his plate cover from LRO. I think we still sell them. Call us 877-448-3474 to find out. I'm at home so I don't know for sure.

Absolutely, got it from LRO. I've had this one a few years, and had another one before it, got smashed in a rear-ender.

Nice at twice the price.

It'll look better once it's as beat up and dirty as the jeep.

But I live in Pittman Center ... Tellico is too far!

I think Bill was referring to the ironic coincidence of your new TU plate and your Jeep. Right now there is a temporary ban in place against 4x4 vehicles using the off-road trails around Tellico. The ban was lobbied for and pushed quite hard by the folks at TU (due to the negative impact those trails have on the fishery - according to the report/temporary ban).

Unfortunately, its a delicate act trying to find what's best for all (or for the most, since its impossible to please everyone, all the time).

Oh, and I knew that. I am a lost cause when it comes to irony.

And although I don't go to Tellico, I'm not sure how I feel about the closure. Delicate balances aren't my strong point.

Still haven't gotten my plate. Are they coming in the mail or do you have to go to the clerk's office and pick them up?

If you've ordered one and pre-paid, you should have already gotten a letter from the county clerk's office informing you that your plate is available for pick up. If you haven't gotten a letter yet, take your current registration and tag to the county clerks office and present them at the desk. Ask them to see if they can find your plate laying around collecting dust.
