If you don't mind me asking, was that caught on a fly rod? If so what did you use to catch it with and what size tippet were you using.

It was on a 6 weight with 4x tippet. I would've used larger tippet, but 4x was the heaviest I had that would get a take. The pic looks like it's been through photoshop, but I swear it's legit.

Caught in North Georgia while attempting to find some brookies. I just wasn't high enough yet. Still a prettly little bow from a pretty pool. The fish was rising to mayflies up in front of the log. I tied on a parachute adams and got him on the first drift. A tricky little cast with my new 4' 4" 4wt and a nice little fight.

Very cool little outfit Mr. Reeves. I like fishing the little technical streams like that. Got to make decisions like...Do I cast over the log or try a low sidearm cast under it? Makes successful outcomes that much sweeter.

Mr. Reeves beaut of an outfit! What reel is that? Gary, there's a story to that fish. When dad got in the boat he said "I've got some cool new flies to try!" 5 minutes later he handed me the dumbest looking fly I had ever seen. It was a piece of 4 mm fly foam cut to look like a piece of corn on a piece of mono tied to a hook! We ancored off in a run that had ton of trout midging. I looked over my shoulder on a back cast and saw close to 50 carp. I said to dad, "I'm gonna do something stupid! Where are those flies?" Dad handed them over I cut off my dropper fly and re-tied on the corn fly. My third cast landed in the path of about 10 fish. All immediately nosed down and the biggest one out of the bunch decided to play. There were a few things said prior to setting the hook all sounded like this "This is dumb, this is dumb, this is dumb {Hook Set}, OHHH I'm a moron!" I would die if that rod broke and really can't afford to go buying another rod right now. Luckily the fly became dislodged from his mouth after the first run by the boat and wound up getting wraped around him turning him sideways and making him easy to bring in!

It was fun and the rod is in one piece! That's what counts. I've gotta get a seven weight soon for this!

Mr. Reeves beaut of an outfit! What reel is that?

Since the rod is so short and made with bamboo ferrules instead of metal ferrules, it was extremely light. I tried to find the smallest skeleton reel that might have a chance to balance it. The reel is a Meisselbach Featherlight 260, circa 1904-1906. It measures 1 3/4" across the spool and is 7/8" wide. It held the belly of the fly line and then I cut the running line off to make some room for backing just in case that monster bow took me downstream over the log jam towards the ocean.

And I have to get into those carp. Maybe this weekend I'll go brownlining.

Alright i caught this brown somewhere on the Holston, from a driftboat owned by a friend of mine. Caught the fish on a tan wooleybugger that I tied. Caught it on 04/11 in the afternoon. Caught a bunch that day mostly all on streamers, This fish made the mistake of revealing himself to me by rising to a natural while I was on the bow. I cast it right on him and he didn't waste any time drillin it!

There is a trick here that only the most discerning eye can detect. The alpha cat on the right has all the others in a submissive line behind her. Train one, train the whole herd.

6 DAYS! God I love being a senior

Well, I've decided to put an end to my dry streak. I took my girlfriend kayaking for the first time about a week ago, and we've been 4 times since. Today we took the kayaks out and my brother tagged along. I knew it was the 28th, so I HAD to get a fish and left them to share a kayak. I get halfway across Percy Priest, look behind, and my girlfriend is sitting in the cockpit with my brother on his knees on the back, barely out of the water. I had a good laugh at that, but continued fishing.

This little guy absolutely SWALLOWED a white rooster tail, it almost made it to his stomach.

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b161/Worrgamesguy/DSCI0113.jpg

Decent bream

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b161/Worrgamesguy/DSCI0114.jpg

I stopped fishing when I heard a lot of laughter, and turned around to see my brother in the kayak with my girlfriend sitting on the front, barely out of the water. They were paddling backwards, and losing control after every few paddles. One time, and the last time, they lost control, both leaned the same way, and took a lot of water into the cockpit and my girlfriend took a swim. My brother paddled for the shore sitting hip deep in water, and barely made it. I offered my kayak as a tug for my girlfriend, and we had a great laugh at the day's events.

Just realized that it is the end of the month and I haven't posted a picture. Went back through my camera and realized that I don't have many to chose from. For me April is about the beginning of dry fly season on the freestone streams so I am going all the way back to April 4 for this little Laurel Fork brown that rose to a #14 Parachute Adams
http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr146/MtnMike-photos/IMGP0341.jpg

I noticed on my camera that I took this picture at 11:19, what's significant about that is that the little brown before it had it's picture taken at 11:17. Gotta love those agressive little fish. If there are no thunderstorms I may have to head to Laurel Fork tomorrow.

Hey CFB, register on photobucket.com

To upload your pictures, download the pictures on your camera to your picture file under My Documents. Go to Photobucket, log in, and click the upload picture tab. It will bring up a prompt, find the picture(s) you want to upload, and click ok.

They will be in an album, and here's how you get them to show on here. The tags are picture url (minus the .). But the easiest way is to hover your cursor over the picture thumbnail, and a drop down option will give you the option to click the IMG link for forums and message boards. It should automatically highlight and copy paste, so all you have to do is come into here, click reply, and press "ctrl v."
