Wish I could go, have to take care of a busted water heater tomorrow. Did Paint Creek today. caught 2 small stockers. Not much of a bug activity. Sporadic Quill Gordon's.

If we were ANYWHERE close, we would have taken you up on it too! We floated the Elk yesterday....left at 5:30 got home at 10:30. Long day but a fun day. That fly pattern that you sent me some time back has worked well on the Elk!

Dang, I always read these things after it's too late.

I know your secret watauga pattern, somebody ousted it to me.

We ended up on the Holston as a last minute kinda deal! We did alright the fishing was kinda slow.

Milligan, Tennswede, and ttas shoot me an email with your phone numbers. I'm always trying to go through out the week and never can convince anyone I know to go. It's the best time. Dad has Sun/Mon off and there is still usually an extra spot in the boat!

FlyGirl, I'm now really beginning to understand why that fly works so well. It immitates two things rather closely and kills fish where ever I go! That fly is my definate go to searching pattern and I'm glad it's working there!

As for the Holston yesterday! Here ya go,

What a fat rainbow, and I've got an 8wt set up for those carp this year. In that particular river. I'm from Jeff Co, just live in johnson city during the school year so the holston is a common occurence for me during the summer.
