Generators running like crazy. I won't go back if they keep posting the wrong generation info. Too far to drive. Didn't catch any, but spin casters with rooster tails were catching a few. I think we should have reeled our buggers in instead of stripping. Oh well, at least we got out of the house.

I live near the river and have been fishing the Duck instead. They generate until about 1:00, then start back at about 5:00 so fishing during the day is out. I say "about" becasue they don't hold to the schedule they publish and it's dangerous to chance it.
The Duck has been fishing good and has reliable generation rates.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into it. What part of the Duck do you fish? Do they stock trout?

yep, it's stocked on roughly the same schedule as the Elk. I fish at several spots, the easiest being Cortner Mill. Simple to get to and fish. E-mail me and i'll give you directions

I think everything is righ tnow. I know the elk is WAY up as well as all of the creeks. Was going to fish the Little this weekend. But, of course, Murphy's law! Byron was great about giving me the heds up on the river!!

Fished Cortners yesterday, They had the flood gates open at Normandy until about noon. Water at Cortners was RAGING until 1 or so.. No trout caught, several misses and a nice bluegill to hand though..... oh, an a very nice size Northern Water Snake in a tree right next to me..... I hate snakes....
