Caney Fork Report

Several anglers on the water today below the steps. No one really tearing it up, but a couple of guys were catching fish steadily. Caught 2, one 12 inch bow and one 10 inch brown. Caught the bow on the midge dropper and caught the brown on the Doc's Cork. Only saw one or two flies hatching (or laying eggs, I guess). Size 18 caddis, dark brown or maybe black. Will have to tie a few for the next time that I go.

I wish I could make it out soon, even for the couple hour gap.

I fished for about 2 and a half hours and then left becaue they quit feeding. If you can, get there at the 6-9 window. I think the fishing will be better. At the very least, there won't be a crowd like I had to deal with 12-3.
