I had a knife incident (don't ask) and put a hole in my waders. Patched it on the inside with a neoprene looking material and on the outside with a clear material, covered the hole and then some. They stopped leaking for a while, but now they are leaking again...Any suggestions on how to find the leak, or should I just add more patches, or what?

Check out what Paula posted a while ago on this topic.
If you have a breathable membrane wader, let them dry. Then, turn them inside/out and use a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a spray nozzle. Spray the inside of the waders with a mist of the alcohol and where you see dark spots, those are your holes.
Hope this helps.

Pineman,
Thanks. That definitely helps. Wonder about the science behind it...interesting. I would love to not have to buy another set since this set is not even two years old yet.
Thanks

Most of my problems seem to be in the neoprene bootie or where the bootie meets the wader. Had a pair I worked on for days last year, couldn't get the leak fixed, so I finally gave up. Leaks in the wader area are pretty easy to fix IMHO.
Good luck!

Thanks. I have the wrap on gravel guards, so I'm saved that trouble. I just hope I can get these dang things fixed:cool:
