Bald River?

Quick Question...
How far up do most of you go on the Bald river to fish? I walked a good 30 minutes at my normal 2 miles/hour pace before I started looking for a good spot to fish. I went all the way up until the river narrows with a huge tall boulder making a long wall on the opposite side.
(I can imagine that that part of the river really changes when the water comes up!)
I am just wondering did I go far enough, or should I have kept going to get to some better fishing. Maybe it will make my next trip better. Thanks...

If we are talking about the same place, it is possible to walk up that sloping rock and I've fished above it. My favorite thing was to park at Holly Flats and hoof it down to about the middle of the Bald and fish back up to the car. There is some flat water in the middle section with some good fishing.

you can also head up cow camp trail this will drop you in just above the gorge this water is great you'll really be supprised with the river in this section it really has a western feal in the flats.
