my dad and i went yesterday planning to go to the clinch but the water was running so we went to cosby and n.c. we got to big creek at about 1 in the afternoon fished untill about 4 some very small bugs were hatching but nothing was taking on top so i fished bottom with a bhpt #16 and a shopvac its a montana fly but it works well for me by 4 o`clock i had caught 6 bows the biggest was 10". then we decided to take a trip to cosby creek and fish until dark. we fish in town behind a gas station we get there and there was a ton of these brown grasshoppers on the water so i tie on a hopper pattern i tied at troutfest with a dropper behind it. just to see what will happen because every time fish this hole i streamer fish but i landed 9 small bows on my hopper. then i tie on my favorite streamer that we first tied to small mouth fish with but works great for trout to. on my streamer i caught 2 bows about 13" a piece.

waterville tn it is right on the nc-tn boarder it flows into the pigeon river where everyone whitewater rafts

search waterville rd. tn the creek flows beside it

That is Big Creek.I had never heard of little Big Creek. Glad you had a good time. The fishing is pretty darn good right now.

Thanks for the report Sam. That bow looks like a lot of the ones that I have caught in the Smokies this year; fat and happy! Big Creek is a cool place. I fished it twice last year during low water conditions, I imagine it looks a lot better now with all the rain we have had this year.
