Fished the tail end of Roaring Fork this morning, and hooked a very small
rainbow. My husband also caught a small rainbow on a tan elk hair. Temperature was 59 degrees and pleasant for July.
We were there 2 weeks ago. Beautiful water! I caught a few small bows there also.

You are right about the water at Roaring Fork. I was remiss in not
mentioning the beauty of that stream. I was mesmerized by the shafts
of sunlight dancing on the water. The rocks looked as if they were placed by unseen hands to enhance the little waterfalls and pools.
I took my Wife and Daughter along Roaring fork and staged some portrait shots on the rocks in the afternoon with that sunlight filtering through and they just turned out gorgeous.

If you fish from the last pull off up to the first bridge you will never see another soul and it is like Gatlinburg is a thousand miles away....but take somebody with you because if you get hurt it will seem like help is a thousand miles away....fish it and soak in the solitude.
