I have from 9 AM till dark off and would love to get into the backcountry. I'd be up for a hike in/ fish/ hike out. I am up for a good workout, or would be content with an easy day. I would just like to get out there! If no one responds I will most likely go fish by myself in the headwaters of the Little Pigeon (Buck Fork), or hike in 3 or 4 miles above Elkmont. Other possibilities would include West Prong or Raven Fork(long day). I could easily be talked into something else such as Abrams, etc.

I have yet to catch my first Smokies Brookie, and while I'm now starting to catch some fish on a regular basis, I would love to learn from a more experienced angler. I will be happy to fish behind you, and listen to suggestions.

Hope to see you on the River.

I would but unfortunately I have to work. Be careful if you are solo up towards Buck Fork. If you get hurt up there, there's no telling when someone will come by.

As for Raven, the same thing applies. I don't want to rain on your parade but I got hurt (cracked rib) on Greenbriar in the gorge in 2002. Not a pretty thing. I literally crawled out of the rhodos, straight up the hill. You have to respect these mountains. I have some suggestions for easy brookie fishing if you email : ahlstedt@knology.net

I will be out on the Clinch with my two-Romanian friends from this message board... One asked about fishing the Clinch months ago and now he will be fishing the Clinch with me...

Not only did I catch my first Smokies Brookie, but lucky 21, and 4 rainbows. Beautiful day of hiking & fishing in the sweet slice of heaven called the Middle Prong!

I will post a report with pictures later when I've had some rest.
