If the weather permits, I'm heading over to the Elk in the morning. Hoping someone could tell me if the water temps are okay down around Ferris Creek bridge. Thanks in advance.

mstone,
Go to:
http://www.tva.gov/river/timsfordtemp/index.htm#temp (http://www.tva.gov/river/timsfordtemp/index.htm#temp)
Scroll down the page for the chart.
I do not understand why the temps have jumped recently.
Hope that this helps.

Upon further refliction, there has to be an equipment malfunction at the Ferris Bridge gauge.
The temperature at the dam has remained constant.
Good Luck!

Would you happen to know if there is temperature info available for the Caney Fork? I've looked all over the TVA site and I cannot find it. thanks.

Yes,
http://www2.mvr.usace.army.mil/WaterControl/stationinfo2.cfm?sid=CFST1&fid=&dt=S&pcode=TW
The above is measured at the Stonewall Bridge near Gordonsville.
Temp at Happy Hollow was 60 degrees before daylight on Wednesday.
Go to:
http://www2.mvr.usace.army.mil/WaterControl/new/layout.cfm
for many, many river temps across the country. (Elk is not on there.)
Hope this helps you and many others.

Double thanks William. I've been going through that site. I particulary like the fact that I can see how quick the river comes up at Stonewall and how fast it drops. By knowing when they were generating I can see when the water hits Stonewall. Very useful. Silvercreek
