Potential Photography Class at LRO

I spoke to Byron about offering a photography class at LRO next year (maybe March?) as long as we don't conflict with a fly tying class date.

My question to all: Is there enough interest to do a Saturday class?

We could spend the morning on "how to" then go out on Little River, take some photos, then come back to LRO and critique them.

You only learn by doing.

Please respond to me at "Jethrobug@aol.com" as I do not look at the message board very often. Limited to the first 12 who sign up.

Since no supplies will be required (Bring your own digital camera and buy your own lunch.), the class will be free as long as you buy something at the store. Otherwise, I may be forced to take up a collection to pay for my gas.

Will this class involve aquatic photography, taking pictures of trout etc?

We can try to do anything you want to learn.

"Underwater photography", however, requires some specialized (waterproof) (and not necessarily expensive) equipment.

I do own an underwater housing for one of my cameras.

The sky (and the water) are the limit.

Keep asking questions.

We can work toward an interesting day.

Just an update.

I am still looking for any interest in a photography class in the spring.

Only two on the message board.

How many of you would like to go on stream and try go get some good photos?

We can fish and try to have some fun with your cameras.

I can work this around whatever you would like to learn.

Even some of the neat underwater stuff is possible.

I'm interested but not sure if March could work for me. Would one need an SLR or would any digital work? I have an Olympus 790SW (waterproof) but it's more or less a point and shoot instead of an slr.
