Here is an interesting question for the board. How many of you guys fish streamers in the mountain streams, what size and colors do you use? I use black, brown and my favorite olive wooly buggers from size 8's to size 12. I know one guy who fishes size 2's but I can not make myself go that big.

I haven't much in the past, but with this higher water I'm definitely thinking about it on next weekend's trip. How do you usually fish them, dead drift, strip/retrieve, etc.?

I tried an olive green woollybooger today in some high water -no bites.
The water level has risen today due to all the BHPTs I lost in the river.

i know it sounds crazy but on days after heavy rain when the water is high and has color in it i have the most luck on a purple bugger size 6. In the water the purple looks like a light shade black.

I just throw mine into the head of the pool and let it swing through. Lots of weight to get it down as far as possible. I sometimes use a nymph dropper off the back.
