Fishing was great today! Cloud cover and great mid 50's temps. Water temp was 52 at 9 this morning also. Water levels were perfect. Not too shallow and not too deep. It started a little slow today and only saw a few hatches.

Decided to start off with a BWO dry and a small Prince dropper. Not much action. Quickly changed to a #10 Tellico nymph. Fished it with about a 4 foot depth from my indicator. It was absolutely the best day I have ever had, especially on this river! I lost track after 3, but it was definitely a 20 plus day. Smallest fish was maybe 10 inches, but they averaged between 14-16 inches. Last one of the day was the biggest, 20 inch Rainbow. Fished the same tellico nymph all day long! Changed to a Black Wooly Buger with Olive body at the end, which is what I caught the monster on.

I just have to say this. I have never done well on the Main River, but I have now been forever changed! That is probably why I resort to the North River most of the time. We fished delayed harvest and started up top just down from the North and worked our way down past Turkey Creek. My buddy had a decent day as well. It sure is refreshing to have a good day at Tellico! I will post some pics as well.

Hope this gives some of you guys hope and some insight to this river. Enjoy!

Sorry! They were fine last night. I don't know what happened. I will fix it tonight when I get home. I apologize.

I almost went down there today, but elected to drive over to Cherokee instead.

Thanks for the report.
