This is a short photo essay of some time spent on the water this year by me. The constant rains and swollen rivers kept me at home many days but there were a few special hours with family and friends. Thanks to all who were there with me. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks Gary, I really enjoyed that. Glad to see you had a good year and some time to enjoy it, I regret not being able to hook up and fish with you this year. I've had a good year too but for various reasons I haven't gotten in near as much fishing time this year as I had the previous 2 or 3. I hope I can change all that in '10. I looked at my fishing journal the other night and I had fully twice as many entries in '08 as '09.
Sure is a nice feeling to sit back by the fire this time of year and pull out the wading pictures and read the journal pages and think back!!

Thanks gentlemen, I'm really looking forward to another year on the water and as this year winds down I'm so thankful to get to spend as much time as I can chasing fins with the fur and feathers. Getting to share it with family and good friends make it even better. Merry Christmas to all.

Hey Troutman great pics! I love Indian Boundary and usually take my kayak when camping up there. I try to get there a couple times a year but only made it once this year.

is that a fenwick fiberglass rod-and is the yellow rod fiberglass??

Really enjoyed the pics. I talked to you a little while back about a Scott F series rod I had recently purchased. I took it to Sam's to try it out for the first time. I actually cought a fish from a hole in your pictures. The rod is a dream by the way. Thanks for youor input.

Crockett, IB is my favorite campground to take the family. There is something for all of us to enjoy. I usually try to go 3-4 times a year for long weekends.

Lauxier, yep, the 2 brown rods are Fenwick feralites from the 70s. Wonderfully casting fiberglass rods. The little yellow 3wt is a lamiglass. the same blank that Dave R. uses in the Southfork rods.

AC, I think you will have a blast next year fishing that Scott on the Soho with sulpher dries and throwing foam beetles at Sycamore Shoals for shallow water browns. The rod loves a dry fly on a furled leader.

I'd love nothing better. I saw Troutman, Troutboy, Troutgirl, and Troutdog....where's Troutwoman?

Secret to catching big fish....don't take a camera!

I got the custom material in. Let me know if you want some. There's PLENTY!
