I was wondering if anyone has fished Tellico's Delayed Harvest area lately? Thinking about fishing it next week...just wondering how it is fishing.

Thanks,

Lee

If they've had as much rain as we have:confused:

Here's a link to a stream gauge in Tellico Plains. Looks to be up, but not as bad as I expected. More rain to come though.

Fished it yesterday. It is fishing very well. The water is up, but wading is managable, just be cautious.

Looking forward to the Tellico wild fish to come out and play in the next month or so before the stocking begins. I am obsessed with finding the rare Tellico browns!

The river is roaring. I would go somewhere else.

At what level on the gage do most older fishermen consider safe ?

Safety isn't the issue.

Thanks for the comments guys... I ended up calling a flyshop near Tellico and he said that the flows were pretty much unfishable so we just ended up doing some site seeing on the Clinch and grilling out.

Also, I ended up driving through the snow/ice storm on the way back...took me about 4 1/2 hours to get home to Nashville (had to help 2 people out of ditches). Hopefully the weather will cooperate for a while and the water levels will drop.
