The January weather took its toll on last month's submittals. Now let's get out there and make the most of our opportunities in February.

Very nice! My plans of starting early thwarted by large amounts of water released by TVA. Maybe next weekend!

Nice fish Troutslayer.

16 days down and only two entries. This weather is really hurting us in the early part of 2010. :frown:

Looks like we're going to have some decent weather this weekend. The pictures should start rolling in.

Thanks Charlie. We got out last weekend and thought I had a pretty good shot. Trout we rising...beautiful day....and then Alabama Power decided to turn the water BACK on. They weren't supposed to generate again til 6 and it was 12:42.
Maybe March will be easier for everybody. C'mon spring!

I failed! My new year reservation was to make it with X's all year on the Fish of the Month board. I only made it out once and got skunked. Good job to the rest of you.

Well, I made it. Late again I might add. Sorry about the fleece gloves. Caney Fork, Feb 28, down from the steps at the dam access point, 2 fly rig...midge and smaller midge. There were some tiny midges coming off..smaller than the smallest I had. I dropped a 22 biot midge off of a 18 zebra and I was able to hook up with 4 nice rainbows.

Nice fish. Looks like he has been finding lots to eat during all the generation. Silvercreek

Thanks, all of them were nice chunks of about the same size. I don't know what the count numbers in the stream are like, but the ones I've caught this winter seemed to be eating well and healthy...they're probably getting a lot of exercise from the a) generation, and b) trying to outrun the stripers and otters!
