I've been tying a lot since the new year started. I like fishing streamers so I've added some Kelly Galloup articulated flies to the arsenal. These are my first ones off the vise. Hopefully a BIG Smallie will enjoy these!

T&A Rainbows, Shad and Big head articulated zoo cougar.

Troutman - very nice job. I listened to an interview with Galloup earlier today.

Great looking patterns! I've been tying and using the Zoo Cougar a couple years now, but I'd like to see how to tie the others.

Yep, me too! Unfortunately, lately every time I open my eyes and look outside for sunny, warm weather, all I see is snow and rain.:frown:
Sometimes, I think and so does my wife, that sitting in front of the vise on Sunday afternoons tying up flies for the upcoming spring season only makes my Seasonal Affective Disorder worse!

Kelly G put out some great videos on streamer fishing. I have a couple and recently got the "Articulated streamers with Kelly Galloup" it is 120 minutes of tutorial instruction on tying several different articulated patterns. The main thing to learn is how to make the connection properly so the fly swims correctly and also choosing the correct marabou feathers. I've made some articulated seaducers, wooly buggers, poppers. It is a fun new twist to add to some of your favorite patterns.
The videos are available from Kelly or You can purchase them through Amazon.

David Perry will be tying at LRO on Saturday. He ties an excellent articulated T&A shad. He might be tying them tomorrow. If not, he can explain it very well and it makes a beautiful streamer. He had us all in line last weekend in Nashville to learn.
