Hey Folks-My days of camping rough are over due to age and infirmity, but the mind is still there,so I envy ya'll and live vicariously by reading these posts.Anyhow here's a tip I thought of while fooling with a 1 gal ziplock bag.I sealed it except for about an inch and blew it up like a ballon.Thought -make a good emergency pillow. So take one camping with you, filled with cheep pillow case, squashed flat.blow it up at nite for pillow, amt of air depending on your comfort level. It takes alot to break the seal.Wt of head won't do it.****-take 2,or a boxful and fill the tent! The hot air will keep you warm!

Thanks for the change of pace:biggrin: If I read another post about guns in the Park I think I'll buy a gun and put myself out of misery:rolleyes:

You'll only shorten your fishing time.

Just purchased a Big Agnes inflatable pillow with a slim memory foam insert and can't wait to try it out. My backpacking necessities list is pretty short but a good pillow is something I was desperately needing in my old age...that, and a little more Maker's Mark at the end of the day.

I went to walgreens and they have "travel pillows" 2 for $5, they are small, light and can be stuffed into your pack nicely. I carry two with me and they work great. Best pillow I have used.
