Just wanted to say a quick thank you to LRO for today's tying demonstration.

I was able to sit, for about an hour, in front of Mr. Ray Ball. A true gentleman and all around first class individual. I had heard a lot about Mr. Ball and found it all to be true.

I was also there today and wouldn't you know I was just watching the Heartland Series and who do you think was featured fishing in the Smokies and cooking trout by the stream. Yes, it was Ray Ball.

I caught the Heartland series tonight also. That Ray Ball episode is one of my favorites. However, tonights episode as a whole (the cleaning out the truck episode), saddens me, as it signifies the ending of a great piece of nightly entertainment for our region. :frown:

I don't know if Ray Ball makes it out as much as he used to, but I'd love to watch him on the water some day.
