I fished the Clinch today. Murray Trout Bum and another friend, I'll call Barry, met me around noon and we fished till dark. Adirondack46r also met up with us and fished for awhile. Today was my day. I wore the fish out. My usual zebra midge under a caddis fly was the ticket.

I caught more fish than I could count (I can't count very high), then I caught that many again.

I was having so much fun, I even skipped my lunch break. However I did take a walk back to the Jeep about half way through the day to get some feeling back in my feet.

Dan, The water was clear and suprisingly, there was no crowd. Good luck if you go.

Great fish Buzz,

The fish seem to be super healthy right now. Full fins, nice shoulders and great color.

I know we hate the generation, but I wonder if it helped the fish quality or if the slot is starting to show, maybe both.

If I remeber correctly when they started the new regs on the Soho, it took about two/three years for it to start showing results and got better for the next four or five untill leveling off. I could be wrong on this but it seems like what I remember from a presentation I saw at LRCTU a few years back.

It would be awesome if we could next get the Caney regs on the Clinch and have some protected Spawning Grounds! Regardless as to wether the fish are successful, it would keep guys from stressing them out by hooking them and potentially killing them.

Okay sorry for the tangent, but I got fish on the brain, got Tuesday thru Friday off and gonna fish till my arm falls off. I'll be pretty worthless at work today and tommorrow!

Thanks for the report Buzz. I am hoping to make it over there on Wednesday as long as TVA cooperates. Looking forward to fishing on the lower river for the first time since probably October.

Yup, Buzz has been wearing 'em out. He's been a fishing machine lately. But if you're impressed with his fishing you should get him to show you a picture of some of the bucks he's killed. The boy's not mortal I tell ya.

Nice pics Buzz.
