After tangling on every tree limb in Tellico, I decided I needed more room to cast ,and tried fishing at Chilhowee lake. There was some kind of hatch going on , and the trout were jumping out of the water after the tiny flies. I caught 7 trout by casting into where they were feeding. After the wind picked up they quit biting.

Nice catch. I have caught 100s of trout in the "hatch" on Chilhowee and when you look inside their mouth it's almost like white foam. I have no clue what the insect is. Chilhowee is the only place that I will eat a trout from. The big ones taste just like salmon and are wonderful on the grill. You MUST go back when they are in the shad schools. It's very frustrating chasing them but, very rewarding. Those trout are measured in POUNDS not inches.

FishNHunt-thanks for the tip. I do plan to return. The dragon is closed, and there is less traffic at Chilhowee.

Trip- You ever here of a motorcycle racer from the 70's named Reg Pridmore? He made a living grinding the valve cover off of bmws.
Your avatar reminded me of him.

yeah, I would love to have one of his old R90s bikes. His racing was before my time though.
